1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing and using the services provided by Liza Loret Events (“we,” “our,” or “us”) through lizaloret.com (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or access our Website.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
We offer professional wedding planning services in the Chicago area, including but not limited to:
- Full-service wedding planning and coordination
- Partial wedding planning services
- Day-of coordination services
- Vendor recommendations and management
- Budget planning and management
- Design and decor consultation
Specific services will be outlined in a separate service agreement provided to each client.
3. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
3.1 Initial Consultation
An initial consultation may be scheduled to discuss your wedding vision and our services. This consultation may be complimentary or subject to a fee as communicated at the time of booking.
3.2 Service Agreement
Upon agreement to proceed with our services, a detailed service agreement will be provided outlining the scope of work, timeline, and pricing. Both parties must sign this agreement before services commence.
3.3 Payment Terms
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee is required to secure your wedding date.
- The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date.
- Payment may be made via bank transfer, credit card, or check.
- Late payments may result in suspension of services and may incur a late fee of 5% per month.
4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
4.1 Client Cancellation
If you cancel our services:
- The initial deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
- Cancellations made more than 90 days before the wedding date: 50% refund of any payments beyond the deposit.
- Cancellations made 60-90 days before the wedding date: 25% refund of any payments beyond the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 60 days before the wedding date: No refund.
4.2 Our Right to Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel our services if payment terms are not met, if the client breaches these Terms and Conditions, or due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, payments made will be refunded on a prorated basis for services not yet rendered.
5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure successful service delivery, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding wedding details, preferences, and requirements.
- Respond to requests for information or decisions within reasonable timeframes.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with our team and recommended vendors.
- Make timely payments according to the agreed schedule.
- Understand that delays in providing information may affect the timeline and execution of services.
6. VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS
We may recommend third-party vendors (caterers, florists, photographers, venues, etc.) based on our professional experience. However, we are not responsible for the performance, quality, or conduct of these independent contractors. Clients enter into separate contracts directly with these vendors and are responsible for payment and any disputes that may arise. We do not receive commissions or kickbacks from vendor recommendations unless explicitly disclosed to the client in writing.
7. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
7.1 Service Limitations
While we strive to provide exceptional service, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or control external factors such as weather, vendor performance, venue conditions, or guest behavior. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for our services.
7.2 Damages
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services or these Terms and Conditions. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for our services.
7.3 Insurance
We maintain professional liability insurance. We strongly recommend that clients obtain wedding insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All original content, designs, concepts, and materials created by us remain our intellectual property. Clients are granted a limited license to use these materials for their personal wedding event. Any content on our Website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our Website. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
10. FORCE MAJEURE
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, or government actions. In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to fulfill our obligations and will work with clients to find alternative solutions.
11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Mediation
In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful, the parties agree to participate in mediation before pursuing legal action.
11.3 Jurisdiction
Any legal action arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Will County, Illinois.
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our Website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Material changes affecting existing client agreements will be communicated directly to affected clients.
13. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
14. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms and Conditions, together with any service agreement and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Liza Loret Wedding Planning and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
